Roasted Radicchio

I am saying it here. I’m just going to save you the 300 words and shoot straight to the end.

Nope.

I did not enjoy eating this.

Remember that bitterness from the grilled radicchio salad? It took a bit to hit, but it does make an appearance. With this roasted stuff I took a bite and I swear while my mouth was in the process of closing I immediately wanted to spit it out. It was a reaction that shocked me honestly.

A bunch of people have roasted radicchio and it was always olive oil, thyme, salt and pepper and then off you go! They swore up and down how it was delicious and elegant and just the best little roasted vegetable they’ve ever had.

I think those are successful writers with money who get paid to lie. Is there a secret radicchio council that meets to make sure radicchio is seen in a good light? There has to be because this was just not pleasant at all. I think the literal bitterness is from me passing it up in the grocery store the past few weeks. I just can’t fathom other people enjoying this.

Ok, I think I got that out of my system. Am I disappointed? Yes. Will I let something I don’t like deter me from keeping on? Not at all.
